Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25, 1970) is an American former football tight end. Gonzalez played for the National Football League from 1997 through 2003. Regarded as one of the greatest tight ends ever, he is the all-time NFL leader in receiving yards and receptions from a tight end and is ranked third overall in receptions
Tony Gonzalez is currently a FOX studio analyst. Gonzalez was an anchor for FOX NFL KICKOFF and FOX NFL KICKOFF. FOX NFL KICKOFF is FOX NFL's pregame show which airs before FOX NFLSUNDAY. This airs at 11:00 AM ET every Sunday during NFL season.
Gonzalez's claims of retiring from the NFL following 2013 is not the case. The 15th of March, 2013, Gonzalez was signed by the Falcons a 2-year contract for $14 million. Randy Moss' retirement meant that Gonzalez was the league's top player of receiving yards in the final time in his career.
